As an employee, there are a number of things you can do to be proactive as tax season approaches.

  1. Have you updated your physical address with your employer(s) from this year? This will ensure that you get your W2’s on time. 

  2. Have you updated your email address with your employer(s)? If you receive your W2 digitally, this is extremely important! 

  3. Have you reviewed your W4 before your W2 comes out? Tax forms change from year to year and this will ensure that you’re taking advantage of the appropriate withholding amount
